Gather was formed in 2011 by two friends, Sandra and Caroline, who share a love of fashion, fabric and design. Sandra studied Graphic Design and currently works in a London based design studio and Caroline, in between running after her toddler, writes a sewing blog and attempts to create a hand-made home.
They wanted to create a company which designs not just modern and fashionable home dressmaking patterns but also curate a gorgeous selection of fabrics and haberdashery. The fabrics are especially chosen with specific dress patterns in mind and for anyone who is less confident about dressmaking or just starting to learn, the kits are a great all-in-one package, designed to make the process even more enjoyable! They can also be used as a starting point or inspiration for those who prefer to choose their own fabrics as the patterns will be sold separately as well.
